House Leader Demands BP Spill Worker Risk Eval

Law360, New York (June 11, 2010, 4:00 PM EDT) -- House Education and Labor Committee chairman George Miller, D-Calif., is calling on BP PLC to immediately request an evaluation of oil spill workers' exposure to toxic chemicals and dangerous working conditions from federal health and safety scientists.

Miller sent a letter Thursday to BP CEO Tony Hayward saying he was “deeply disappointed” that the oil giant had not yet taken “all steps necessary” to ensure the health and safety of the thousands of spill workers, including a National Institute for Occupational Health and Safety health hazard...
