ITC Launches Probe Into Alleged Chrysler Knockoffs

Law360 (June 14, 2010, 1:41 PM EDT) -- The U.S. International Trade Commission has decided to investigate a complaint filed by Chrysler Group LLC accusing Chinese manufacturers and several U.S.-based distributors of infringing a design patent covering the auto giant's Jeep Hurricane concept vehicle.

The investigation covers certain automotive vehicles and designs, specifically 4x4 vehicles, that Chrysler alleges are being imported and sold in the U.S. in violation of Section 337 of the Tariff Act of 1930, the ITC said Friday.
