DSM Rubber Units Settle Price-Fixing MDL For $25M

Law360, New York (June 15, 2010, 3:44 PM EDT) -- DSM Elastomers Europe BV and DSM Copolymer Inc. have agreed to a $25 million settlement in a multidistrict class action accusing a slew of companies of fixing the price of ethylene propylene diene monomer synthetic rubber, a material used in the auto and roofing industries.

The proposed settlement, lodged Monday in the U.S. District Court for the District of Connecticut, did not include an admission of liability from the two defendants, subsidiaries of Netherlands-based Royal DSM NV.
