Abbott Loses Bid To Toss Humira Cancer Suit

Law360, New York (June 15, 2010, 5:32 PM EDT) -- Abbott Laboratories has lost a bid to dismiss a lawsuit claiming the pharmaceutical company failed to warn consumers about the lymphoma risk associated with its arthritis drug Humira.

Judge Claudia Wilken denied Abbott’s motion for summary judgment but granted the remaining defendants’ motion for judgment on the pleadings in an order issued Monday in the U.S. District Court for the Northern District of California.
