Web.com Buys Register.com For $135M Cash, Debt

Law360, New York (June 17, 2010, 11:51 AM EDT) -- Web.com said Thursday that it would buy domain name registration firm Register.com for $135 million, a move the online marketing company said would result in one of the largest online marketing and services companies serving small businesses.

Web.com said it would finance the purchase with approximately $20 million in existing cash, proceeds from a new $110 million term loan and a $5 million seller note.
