Employers Slow To Set Social Media Rules: Survey

Law360, New York (June 17, 2010, 4:31 PM EDT) -- Despite the growing prevalence of social media in the U.S. workplace, only about half of all employers have implemented a policy governing its use, according to a survey of corporate counsel conducted by Jackson Lewis LLP.

Fifty-four percent of employers have a formal policy for social media use inside and outside the workplace, while 46 percent do not, according to the firm's annual workplace survey, released Thursday.
