WaMu Hearing On Examiner Delayed

Law360, New York (June 17, 2010, 7:31 PM EDT) -- A federal judge on Thursday postponed consideration of bankrupt Washington Mutual Inc.'s disclosure statement and a request by shareholders to review a proposed settlement of litigation among the bank, JPMorgan Chase & Co. and the Federal Deposit Insurance Corp.

The items were supposed to be considered in the U.S. Bankruptcy Court for the District of Delaware on Thursday, but in court papers WaMu said it would seek to have the disclosure statement and the shareholders' request heard on July 8.
