Work At Reopened Ariz. Uranium Mine Stays On Track

Law360, New York (June 18, 2010, 5:38 PM EDT) -- The Sierra Club, the Center for Biological Diversity and other environmental groups have lost their bid for a preliminary injunction against the renewed operation of a uranium mine near Grand Canyon National Park, following extensive wrangling with the U.S. Department of the Interior.

The plaintiffs have not shown they are likely to succeed on the merits on the two claims for which they sought the injunction, Judge David G. Campbell of the U.S. District Court for the District of Arizona ruled Thursday.
