ITC Rules Not to Block Taiwanese CD-R Imports

Law360, New York (October 28, 2003, 12:00 AM EST) -- The U.S. International Trade Commission has initially ruled that it will not enforce a request from Royal Philips Electronics to block imports of CD-R discs from Taiwan’s makers and other suppliers, Taiwanese technology daily DigiTimes reported Tuesday.

However, the ITC concluded that those makers and suppliers do infringe on six registered patents of the Dutch electronics giant.
