Sierra Club Targets Patriot Units Over Selenium Waste

Law360, New York (June 21, 2010, 1:13 PM EDT) -- In the latest challenge to mine operator Patriot Coal Corp.’s compliance with discharge permits, the Sierra Club and three other environmental groups have launched a suit accusing two of the company's subsidiaries of exceeding limits on selenium discharges at several West Virginia facilities.
