Prempro Punitive Damages Case Back In District Court

Law360, New York (June 21, 2010, 3:16 PM EDT) -- The U.S. Supreme Court on Monday declined to hear Pfizer Inc.'s appeal of a ruling that will allow a plaintiff to re-pursue punitive damages in litigation involving the pharmaceutical company's controversial hormone replacement drugs.

As is customary, the high court denied the petition for a writ of certiorari without comment, other than to say Chief Justice John Roberts took no part in the consideration.
