FERC Likely To OK Gas Co.'s Rate Hike

Law360, New York (January 31, 2007, 12:00 AM EST) -- Natural gas provider Williams Northwest Pipeline Corp. is likely to receive the go-ahead to hike its transportation rate for the first time in 10 years, after settling its rate case with the Federal Energy Regulatory Commission.

Northwest, which finds, gathers, processes and moves natural gas, would raise its general system firm transportation rates to $0.40984 from $0.30760, the company said on Tuesday.

The agreement is still awaiting FERC’s final approval.
