EU Court Trims €2M From Akzo Unit Antitrust Fine

Law360, New York (June 25, 2010, 3:52 PM EDT) -- A European court trimmed an antitrust fine against Imperial Chemical Industries Ltd. to €8 million ($9.9 million) Friday, almost two decades after the European Commission originally slapped the Akzo Nobel NV unit with a €10 million ($12.4 million) penalty for abusing its dominant position in the soda ash market.
