Obama Taps DuPont Atty As USDA General Counsel

Law360, New York (June 28, 2010, 2:37 PM EDT) -- President Barack Obama has nominated Ramona Emilia Romero, DuPont Co.'s corporate counsel for logistics and energy, to become general counsel at the U.S. Department of Agriculture.

Romero, whose nomination to the administration post was announced Friday by the White House, currently provides legal oversight for DuPont's acquisition of transportation, distribution, supply-chain management, travel and energy resources, in addition to managing related strategic litigation.

Since 2008, she has also served as general counsel of Sentinel Transportation LLC, a DuPont joint venture, according to the White House....
