Bridgestone Sues To Protect Off-Road Tires

Law360, New York (February 1, 2007, 12:00 AM EST) -- Bridgestone/Firestone North American Tire LLC is hoping to put the brakes on GPX International Tire Corporation’s sale of off-road tires, filing a suit against the work tire company Wednesday for alleged trademark infringement, unfair competition and false advertising.

Bridgestone, which is seeking a jury trial, said that GPX “engaged in a systematic pattern of unlawful conduct by knocking-off a series of Firestone trademarks” and disseminating false and misleading advertising about its products.
