NLRB Probes Member's Ties With SEIU

Law360, New York (June 30, 2010, 2:04 PM EDT) -- The National Labor Relations Board's Office of Inspector General has launched an inquiry into controversial board member Craig Becker's decision not to recuse himself from a case involving a local affiliate of the Service Employees International Union, which he once represented.

The investigation was sparked by Rep. Darrell Issa, R-Calif., who in March asked NLRB Inspector General David Berry to look into Becker's participation in a case between SEIU Local 1957 and St. Barnabas Hospital.
