FAA Seeks $2.5M Fines Against Trans Jet

Law360, New York (June 30, 2010, 6:14 PM EDT) -- The Federal Aviation Administration on Wednesday proposed nearly $2.5 million in civil penalties against two affiliates of regional aviation company Trans States Holdings for operating nine jets that were not in compliance with aviation regulations on 320 passenger flights.

The two subsidiaries of the Bridgeton, Mo.-based Trans States, maintenance company Trans States Airlines and carrier GoJet Airlines, also violated various maintenance procedures, the agency said.
