Rubbermaid Contests Duties On Dispenser Products

Law360, New York (July 1, 2010, 4:30 PM EDT) -- Rubbermaid Commercial Products LLC has brought a suit against the U.S. government over duties imposed on imports of products for dispensers used to clean restrooms and control odors.

The Winchester, Va.-based company lodged a summons Wednesday in the U.S. Court of International Trade, claiming that U.S. Customs and Border Protection improperly classified nearly four dozen dispenser product shipments that entered the U.S. between November 2007 and May 2008, leading to higher tariff rates for Rubbermaid.
