Ky. Coal Plant, Insurer End Dispute Over Coal Dust

Law360, New York (July 1, 2010, 12:30 PM EDT) -- A Kentucky coal plant operator and its insurance company have settled a dispute regarding coverage for coal dust pollution, several months after a federal judge threw out part of the operator's case.

Judge Karen K. Caldwell of the U.S. District Court for the Eastern District of Kentucky signed off on an order dismissing the case Wednesday. Settlement details were not included in the court filings, and attorneys for Wausau Underwriters Insurance Co. and Grizzly Processing LLC were not immediately available for comment Thursday.
