INTA Opens Office in China

Law360 (October 28, 2003, 12:00 AM EST) -- China's government has approved the registration of an International Trademark Association (INTA) representative office in Shanghai, INTA said Monday.

The representative office provides INTA with a legal identity in China that will facilitate the association's activities and strengthen its relationship with governmental bodies and other trademark associations in the country, INTA said.

The office will also serve as a contact point for INTA's Chinese members and the Chinese trademark community to obtain information about INTA's activities in China and international trademark issues.
