Toyota Recalls 139K Lexus Cars Over Faulty Valves

Law360, New York (July 6, 2010, 4:34 PM EDT) -- Toyota Motor Corp. told the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration on Tuesday that it was recalling nearly 139,000 Lexus-brand vehicles in the U.S. that may contain faulty valve springs, which can cause abnormal engine noise or idling and, in rare instances, stalling.

The 138874 affected Lexus vehicles in the U.S. include IS 350, GS 350, GS 460, GS 450h, LS 460 and LS 600hL models, according to the recall notice. It does not include any 2009 or 2010 vehicles.
