Merck, Sanofi Vaccine Deals Could Face FTC Probe

Law360, New York (July 7, 2010, 4:50 PM EDT) -- A government watchdog public interest group has asked the Federal Trade Commission to investigate claims that Merck & Co. Inc. and Sanofi Pasteur SA have blocked competitors by offering steep discounts to coerce physician groups into contracts that require them to buy all of their vaccines from the same drugmaker.
