Enviro Says Northwest Power Plan Threatens Salmon

Law360, New York (July 8, 2010, 2:55 PM EDT) -- A conservation group has taken its fight over a regional power plan for the northwestern United States to a federal appeals court, saying the plan illegally inflates the cost of salmon mitigation and restoration and ignores the fish's environmental and economic benefits.

The Eagle, Idaho-based Northwest Resource Information Center filed suit Tuesday in the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Ninth Circuit against the Northwest Power and Conservation Council.
