Atser Data Analysis Software Patent Invalid: Fed. Circ.

Law360, New York (July 8, 2010, 2:28 PM EDT) -- A federal appeals court has upheld a loss for engineering software company Atser Research Technologies Inc. in its suit accusing a consulting firm of infringing a patent for data analysis software.

With a single word — “affirmed” — the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Federal Circuit on Thursday tossed Atser's appeal of its district court loss, and left the plaintiff on the hook for its adversary's attorneys' fees.
