Russian Antitrust Watchdog Targets Novo Nordisk

Law360, New York (July 9, 2010, 5:17 PM EDT) -- Russia's antitrust regulator has launched an investigation into Novo Nordisk LLC based on concerns that the pharmaceutical company may be abusing its dominant position in the country by refusing to sign contracts with certain customers.

The Federal Antimonopoly Service opened its case against the company, the Russian unit of Danish pharmaceutical giant Novo Nordisk A/S, on Wednesday under the section of Russia's antitrust law dealing with abuse of dominant position, the agency said Friday.
