Siemens Fights For Patent Priority On DNA Method

Law360, New York (July 9, 2010, 6:45 PM EDT) -- Siemens Healthcare Diagnostics Inc. has filed suit against Enzo Life Sciences Inc., seeking the reversal of a ruling by the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office that Enzo invented a technology related to nucleic acid signal amplification used in disease diagnosis before Siemens.

The suit, filed Friday in the U.S. District Court for the District of Massachusetts, claims that the USPTO ruling was erroneous and gives Enzo exclusive rights to technology invented by Siemens.
