Davis Polk Reps Tyco Electronics In $1.25B Deal

Law360, New York (July 13, 2010, 2:20 PM EDT) -- Looking to expand its portfolio of communications devices, Tyco Electronics Ltd. plans to snap up ADC Telecommunications Inc. for about $1.25 billion.

The Switzerland-based electronic parts maker, which spun off from Tyco International Ltd. in 2007, said Tuesday that it has entered into a definitive agreement in which it will acquire ADC for $12.75 per share in cash and expects the transaction will boost earnings by 14 cents per share in the first full year.
