Ensco Sues US Over Drilling Ban, Safety Rule Changes

Law360, New York (July 13, 2010, 6:32 PM EDT) -- Ensco Offshore Co. has sued the U.S. Department of the Interior over its handling of April's BP PLC oil spill, saying the agency violated the Administrative Procedure Act and the Outer Continental Shelf Lands Act by imposing a six-month drilling ban, unilaterally changing safety requirements and creating arbitrary delays in the drill permitting process.
