AXA Faces Class Action Over Overtime Pay

Law360, New York (February 7, 2007, 12:00 AM EST) -- A former securities broker at AXA Advisors LLC has filed a lawsuit requesting class action status against the financial services company for denying overtime compensation to brokers.

Anthony Bolea claims that securities brokers are entitled to overtime compensation because they work more than 40 hours a week due to the nature of their job responsibilities.

Bolea also said AXA violated federal law by failing to maintain accurate records of hours worked by its brokers. He has also filed state claims pursuant to the Pennsylvania Minimum Wage...
