Pottery Barn Kids Recalls 82K Drop-Side Cribs

Law360, New York (July 15, 2010, 2:05 PM EDT) -- Pottery Barn Kids, a division of Williams-Sonoma Inc., has made a voluntary recall of about 82,000 drop-side cribs that pose a suffocation hazard, a move that comes at a time when federal regulators are pushing stricter testing standards for the product.

The U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission announced the recall Wednesday, which was prompted by 36 reports of drop-sides that malfunctioned or detached. The problem has been linked to seven minor injuries in children.
