Green Groups Fight EPA Over Gulf Spill Dispersants

Law360, New York (July 15, 2010, 4:39 PM EDT) -- A coalition of environmental groups has launched a lawsuit accusing the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency of concealing from the public key health and safety information regarding ingredients used in chemical dispersants being used in the Deepwater Horizon oil spill cleanup.

The lawsuit, filed Wednesday in the U.S. District Court for the Northern District of Florida, claims the chemicals are being used in unprecedented amounts without any regard for the possible immediate and long-term effects.
