Birds Eye Buys Unilever Frozen Food Biz For $1B

Law360, New York (July 19, 2010, 11:38 AM EDT) -- Unilever PLC has reached a binding agreement to sell its Italian frozen foods business, Findus, to Permira Advisers LLP's Birds Eye Iglo subsidiary for a total of €805 million ($1 billion).

In addition to Findus Italy business, comprising the brands 4 Salti in Padella, Sofficini, Capitan Findus and That's Amore, the sale includes a dedicated factory in Cisterna, Italy, Unilever said Monday.
