Australia Vows To Shield Blood Plasma Market

Law360, New York (February 8, 2007, 12:00 AM EST) -- In a move that could prompt a trade spat with the United States, several state governments in Australia have vowed to shun plans to open the country’s blood plasma supply market to overseas companies.

Government officials in South Australia and Victoria states said they plan to fight the federal government’s request that states agree to the plan, the Australian Financial Review reported Thursday.
