Symbol Loses Bid For Injunction On Janam PDAs

Law360, New York (July 23, 2010, 9:14 AM EDT) -- A federal judge has denied a preliminary injunction request by Motorola Inc. subsidiary Symbol Technologies Inc. in its patent infringement suit against Janam Technologies LLC over hand-held computer technology.

Judge Joseph J. Farnan Jr. of the U.S. District Court for the District of Delaware on Tuesday rejected Symbol’s attempt to block the startup rival from selling competing PDA devices that use a Windows operating system and allegedly infringe three patents.
