Reckitt Benckiser Inks $4B Deal for SSL International

Law360, New York (July 21, 2010, 12:41 PM EDT) -- Household and personal care products firm Reckitt Benckiser Group PLC announced Wednesday that it has reached a ₤2.54 billion ($3.9 billion) deal to acquire consumer products company SSL International PLC, owner of brands including Durex condoms and the Scholl foot care line.

Announcing the proposed acquisition Wednesday, Reckitt Benckiser said the purchase of SSL was an attractive opportunity to increase the company's footprint in the health and personal care sector.
