SEC Taps Willkie Farr Atty To Fill GC Post

Law360, New York (July 22, 2010, 1:45 PM EDT) -- The U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission has turned to Willkie Farr & Gallagher LLP to round out its Office of the General Counsel, snagging special counsel David W. Blass to serve as the agency's associate counsel for legal policy.

Blass — whose move was announced Tuesday by the SEC — will provide legal and policy advice to the agency on a wide range of matters, with particular emphasis on investment management, trading and markets, and international matters, the regulator said in a statement.
