Ford Asks CIT To Block Liquidation Of Jaguar Vehicles

Law360, New York (July 22, 2010, 2:09 PM EDT) -- Ford Motor Co. has filed an emergency request that seeks to prevent U.S. Customs and Border Protection from liquidating disputed entries of Jaguar-brand vehicles, calling the agency's move “extremely disturbing.”

The automaker's motion, filed Thursday in the U.S. Court of International Trade, was met with a swift response by the federal government, which argued that Ford's claim of an “emergency” were unfounded.
