Thermage Sues Syneron Over Patent For Wrinkle Treatment

Law360, New York (July 27, 2004, 12:00 AM EDT) -- Medical device maker Thermage, Inc. has filed a patent infringement lawsuit against Israeli rival Syneron Medical Ltd. and its U.S. subsidiary over technology for tightening skin using light or radiofrequency energy.

The complaint, filed in US. District Court for the Northern District of California, seeks damages and injunctive relief for infringement of a Thermage patent, U.S. Patent No. 6,749,624, which covers “methods and devices for treating skin using either light or radiofrequency energy or both.”
