FDA Panel Rejects Plan To Curb Opioid Abuse

Law360, New York (July 26, 2010, 12:50 PM EDT) -- An advisory panel for the U.S. Food and Drug Administration has shot down the agency's plan to curb the abuse of addictive prescription narcotics such as OxyContin and Vicodin, saying the blueprint doesn't go far enough in requiring physicians to be trained in the appropriate use of such drugs.
