Apotex Head Fires Back In Ownership Feud

Law360 (February 9, 2007, 12:00 AM EST) -- In the latest twist in the ongoing family battle for the ownership of Canadian generic pharmaceutical company Apotex Inc., founder and chief executive Barry Sherman has reportedly filed an $8 million lawsuit against a relative who separately sued the billionaire in January.

Sherman confirmed that he has filed the lawsuit against his cousin, Toronto businessman Kerry Winter, in the Ontario Superior Court in an interview with the Globe and Mail on Thursday, the newspaper reported Friday.
