Volvo Hits Nippon Unit Over Alleged Car-Glass Cartel

Law360, New York (July 27, 2010, 3:40 PM EDT) -- Volvo Car Corp. has filed a lawsuit in the U.K. against a British subsidiary of Nippon Sheet Glass Co. Ltd., claiming the car-glass maker was involved in a five-year price-fixing scheme.

The Swedish automaker has issued an action in the High Court in London against Pilkington Group Ltd. and its subsidiary, seeking damages for allegedly inflated prices charged for car glass resulting from a cartel, according to Volvo's law firm, Hausfeld LLP.
