H&M Slapped With Suit Over Underwire Bra Patent

Law360, New York (August 2, 2010, 2:46 PM EDT) -- A U.K.-based textile manufacturer has accused H&M Hennes & Mauritz LP of willfully infringing a patent for tubular reinforced fabrics used to make bras, swimwear and other supportive apparel.

The complaint from Stretchline Intellectual Properties Ltd. — filed Friday in the U.S. District Court for the Eastern District of Virginia — alleges that the global retail giant has run afoul of a patent for a textile used for underwire bras and other garments.
