Conn. AG Blocked From Releasing Insurer's Docs

Law360, New York (August 2, 2010, 3:54 PM EDT) -- The Connecticut Supreme Court ruled Monday that Connecticut Attorney General Richard Blumenthal cannot publicly share confidential documents subpoenaed from Florida insurer Brown & Brown Inc. in 2005 as part of a probe into possible antitrust violations in the insurance industry.

In a unanimous opinion authored by Supreme Court Chief Justice Chase T. Rogers, the court remanded and reversed a previous decision from the Superior Court of the Judicial District of Hartford and ordered the lower court to enter a ruling restricting Blumenthal's attempt to share the...
