DOJ Wants More Info On Comtech's $473M CPI Buy

Law360, New York (August 3, 2010, 1:27 PM EDT) -- The U.S. Department of Justice has asked Comtech Telecommunications Corp. and CPI International Inc. to fork over additional information and documentary material related to the companies' proposed $473.3 million tie-up.

The companies disclosed in filings Monday with the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission that they received the so-called second request.

It was unclear what information the DOJ was seeking. Neither representatives for the two companies nor the agency immediately returned calls Tuesday.

But both companies will cooperate with the request, according to a joint statement....
