China Scoffs At US Pressure Over Iran Trade Relations

Law360, New York (August 5, 2010, 4:47 PM EDT) -- China reportedly fired back Thursday at pressure from U.S. diplomats to ratchet up sanctions against Iran over its rogue nuclear program, saying its trade with Iran would not harm international interests.

Jiang Yu, spokeswoman for China's Ministry of Foreign Affairs, said that China has always followed the resolutions of the U.N. Security Council and that its interactions with Iran did not threaten the international community, the China Daily reported Thursday.
