Hunton & Williams Faces $150M Contract Suit

Law360, New York (August 5, 2010, 4:11 PM EDT) -- Hunton & Williams LLP has been hit with a $150 million suit alleging the firm interfered with a contract by helping cut plaintiff Minerals Development & Supply Co. Inc. out of a supply chain for frac sand, used in oil well operations.

The suit, filed Friday in the State of Wisconsin Circuit Court, Monroe County, also accuses the law firm of conspiring with a client, the private equity firm Insight Equity Holdings LLC, to intentionally interfere with MDSC’s exclusive supply agreement for frac sand.
