E.U. Probes Power Transformer Firms

Law360, New York (February 13, 2007, 12:00 AM EST) -- Europe’s antitrust watchdog on Tuesday said it has carried out unexpected raids at the offices of power transformer makers in France, Germany, and Austria as part of a probe into possible price-fixing at the companies.

“Surprise inspections are a preliminary step in investigations into suspected cartels,” the European Commission said in a statement Tuesday.
