Simpson Thacher, Sullivan Rep Skype In $100M IPO

Law360, New York (August 9, 2010, 4:09 PM EDT) -- Internet telecommunications company Skype SA said Monday that it had filed for an initial public offering that seeks to raise about $100 million.

The company has not yet determined how many shares to offer or at what price. Skype would be listed on the Nasdaq but hasn't selected a ticker symbol yet, according to a registration filed Monday with the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission.

The offering of American Depository Shares comes after eBay Inc.'s November 2009 sale of Skype to a group of private investors...
