I2 Sues Palantir Over Alleged Trade Secrets Theft

Law360, New York (August 10, 2010, 4:23 PM EDT) -- Investigative software maker i2 Inc. has filed suit against Palantir Technologies Inc., accusing the rival company and two of its employees of stealing trade secrets related to intelligence software and engaging in fraud, racketeering and criminal copyright infringement.

In what i2 called a “multiyear scheme of fraud and industrial espionage,” Palantir knowingly used fraudulently obtained software to design new intelligence products that would help Palantir compete directly and unfairly with i2, according to a complaint filed Monday in the U.S. District Court for the Eastern District...
