NAACP Bias Suit Against Johnson Controls Tossed

Law360, New York (August 11, 2010, 5:38 PM EDT) -- A judge has thrown out a race discrimination suit brought by a branch of the NAACP against Johnson Controls Inc. that accused the company of mistreating black workers at its Hattiesburg, Miss., plant.

The Forrest County, Miss., branch of the NAACP failed to identify in its complaint any individual who was injured as a result of the allegedly discriminatory practices and provided no specific facts to support its claims, Judge Keith Starrett ruled Tuesday in the U.S. District Court for the Southern District of Mississippi....
